The Irishman is the kind of film I would pass on for review. I’m not paid a whole lot (at least not yet) on this space and I have no chief editor digging his talons into my shoulder, so I can be selective about what passes before my eyes. I go for what strikes me as having possibilities, whether it’s via word of mouth and critic, or my own tastes and intuition.
